The Turbomachinery course at Delft University of Technology has started on Tuesday, 9 November. DGTA was present at the introduction of this course. The course is taught by professors Sikke Klein, Rene Pecnik and Vera Popovich and is not only available for MSc students from Delft, but also for SGO members. Several SGO members make use of this opportunity to increase their knowledge in the field of gas turbine design and operations.
The Turbomachinery course will run for seven weeks (two classes of two hours a week) and will cover the following topics: thermodynamics, turbomachinery theory, application of turbomachinery, gas turbine design/combustion/controls, gas turbine materials and mechanical aspects.
